CPI(M) Condemns the Brutal Killing of PCM Leaders

THE Communist Party of India (Marxist) condemns the brutal killing of Comrade Raymundo Velazquez Flores, secretary general of the regional committee of the Communist Party of Mexico (PCM) in the state of Guerrero, Comrade Samuel Vargas Ramirez, member of the regional committee of the PCM and Comrade Miguel. They were brutally tortured and shot dead while they were on their way to attend a meeting of the peasants in the state. It is obvious that the government of Mexico and the provincial government failed to provide security to the leaders and had acted hand in glove with the landed elites in the region.

The government of Mexico should immediately inquire into the gruesome murder of these three comrades, arrest the culprits and bring them before the court of justice.

The CPI(M) expresses its heartfelt condolences to the Communist Party of Mexico and also the family members of the bereaved comrades. The CPI(M) once again reiterates its solidarity with the PCM in its struggle during this grave hour.
