CONDOLENCES
The following is the text of the condolence message
sent by Prakash
Karat, general secretary of the CPI(M) to Biman Basu,
secretary of the
I am deeply saddened
to hear the news
of the passing away of our beloved Comrade, Samar Mukherjee,
who was the oldest
member of the Party in the country.
Comrade Samar
Mukherjee was a builder
of the Party and the working class movement. He set an example
on how to serve
the people.
Samarda will always
be remembered for
his sterling qualities, his complete dedication to the Party,
his simplicity
and selflessness.
We should all
emulate his example. I
pay my homage to his memory.
