Arrest Jindal, Dasari
N Rao: CPI(M)
THE Haryana
state
committee of the CPI(M) has demanded immediate arrest of
Congress member of
parliament, Navin Jindal, in the wake of registration of an
FIR by the CBI
against him, and of the former minister of state Dasari
Narayan Rao for their
active involvement in the infamous Coalgate scam. The CBI has
filed the case on
the basis of substantial proof of procuring coal block
allotments through the offer
of a huge amount of money as bribe and also through commitment
of a fraud by
furnishing wrong affidavits.
In a press
release issued
from Rohtak on June 13, CPI(M) state secretary Inderjit Singh
ask the Congress
high command to tell Jindal to resign from his parliamentary
seat as it was now
apparent that he had grossly misused his political clout as a
leader of the
ruling party for amassing wealth by fraudulent means.
“It was yet
again a
glaring instance of the modus
operandi of
squandering national wealth and natural resources by an
obnoxious nexus
comprising the corrupt ruling politicians, corporate sector
and the bureaucracy,”
the CPI(M) press release said.
