   CPI(M) Disapproves Anisur Rahman’s Comments

 

Biman Basu, secretary of the CPI(M)’s West Bengal state committee, issued the following statement on December 27, 2012.

 

IN a public meeting, held on December 26 in North Dinajpur, Anisur Rahman, a CPI(M) MLA, made some unwarranted and derogatory remarks while mentioning the issue of compensation to rape victims in West Bengal. His comment is against the political culture of our party. Our party does not approve such comments made by Anisur Rahman. He has already apologised for his comments and he should be cautious in the future against making any such unwarranted comment.
