Marchers Slam Israeli Violence in Gaza

ON November 20, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Youth Federation (JKDYF) organised a militant protest demonstration in Kulgam. On the day, hundreds of JKDYF activists staged a march from the new bus stand in Kulgam, shouting slogans against the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

JKDYF president Arshid Hussain Baba, general secretary Abdul Rashid and district president Mohmmad Akash led the protest march and rally. They strongly condemned the Israeli atrocities and violence in Gaza, which has caused a huge loss of the lives of Palestinian civilians including women and children. Such attacks pose threat to regional peace and stability, and must be immediately halted, the protestors demanded. They also urged the world community to bring pressure on Israel to make it stop the violence. It must also strengthen its efforts to support the rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people, the protestors urged.

The activists also shouted slogans against the LPG and power crisis in the valley, slamming the state government for its ineptitude to address the sufferings of the people. The government must wake up from its deep slumber and address the cooking gas and power crisis facing the state, they demanded.
