CPI(M) Demands Relief for Victims

    

    THE Jammu regional committee of the CPI(M) has expresses grief and concern over the loss of lives, property, standing crops and fruits in Jammu region due to heavy rains and floods. While addressing a meeting of the regional committee, held at Jammu, August 24, its secretary, Sham Prasad Kesar, made an appeal to the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir to intervene personally to start the rescue and relief operations for the victims as early as possible. Teams of concerned officers must be deputed to collect exact information of the loss and on spot financial or any other type of help to the needy people.

 

    The recent rains and floods have made many people homeless and even taken the precious lives of their family members in some cases. Roads and school buildings also got damaged due to this havoc of rains and floods.

 

     The CPI(M) regional committee demanded adequate compensation for the flood and rain victims, and immediate repair of roads and buildings.
