Andhra Pradesh state secretary B V Raghavulu and other leaders
resisted their arrest by the police in Hyderabad on July 25. Ten
Left parties in the state had called for a 'Chalo Secretariat'
on that day demanding rollback of electricity tariff hike and
against frequent power cuts. CPI state secretary K Narayana and
hundreds of others were also arrested by the police as they
marched towards the secretariat building from various routes,
taking the heavily deployed police by surprise.
