Comrade Kitty Menon

THE Central Committee mourns the passing away of Comrade Kitty Menon who had worked in the editorial staff of People’s Democracy and a leader of the teachers movement in Delhi University.  Kitty Menon joined the Communist Party in England as a student activist.  She became a member of the Communist Party after her return to India in 1947.  As a teacher in Delhi University, she actively participated in the teachers movement and conducted study classes on Marxism for generations of teachers and students. She worked with dedication in the People’s Democracy from 1985 for over two decades.

The Central Committee conveys its heartfelt condolences to her son, grand children and other members of the family.
