P Sundarayya Centenary Observance Begins in W Bengal

 

THE observance of the birth centenary of Comrade P Sundarayya began by garlanding his portrait at the CPI(M) state committee office on May 1. CPI(M) leaders and activists gathered in the morning at the Muzaffar Ahmad Bhavan in Kolkata and paid tributes to P Sundarayya. Biman Basu, state secretary spoke on the occasion. Basu termed PS as an exemplary communist who dedicated his whole life to the cause of people. Recalling PS’s contributions, Basu said that he meticulously nurtured young activists and developed them into matured communists. PS donated his personal property to the Party and for the cause of peoples’ welfare. In West Bengal, his birth centenary will be celebrated through political-ideological work.

 

Buddhadev Bhattacharjee, Md Amin, Suryakanta Misra and members of state secretariat and state committee garlanded the portrait of PS.
