from the Communist Party of
I, ON my own behalf, and on behalf of the Central
Committee of the Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP), warmly congratulate
the leadership
and members of the CPI(M) for holding this 20th congress of the party.
The regional and international political situation has
given special importance to your congress. The capitalist world has
badly
failed to overcome the international systemic economic crisis.
The quest of the imperialism for establishing hegemony
over the natural resources of the world’s reserves and its
transportation
routes has evoked them to plunge the world into blatant covert and
overt
military actions. Our region has been turned into a battlefield of
different
capital power centres. Obscurantist and fascist elements have been
filling the
vacuum, created due to the falling back of the progressive forces. This
has
largely added a new, alarming element to the already existing threats
to human
civilisation, which phenomenon has much contributed to creating
confusion in
the ranks of the progressive forces. Resultantly, the anti-science,
anti-progress, misogynist and anti-minorities forces are some time
obfuscated
with anti-imperialism.
Dear Comrades,
We are highly convinced, that the distinguished
delegates of this congress will be able to make an indepth study of the
prevailing situation and will deliberate correct conclusions. The
strategy
developed on the basis of a rational analysis, and the conclusions
drawn out will
not only benefit the Indian progressive forces, but the entire region
and the
world at large.
For this reason, the proceedings of the congress would
be closely watched with great enthusiasm by the communist parties in
the region
and beyond, waiting impatiently for the deliberations and conclusive
guidelines
of the congress.
Once again, we cordially congratulate the CPI(M) for
holding its 20th congress.
