Message from the Communist Party of China

ON the occasion of the upcoming 20th congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), we would like to extend warm congratulations and best wishes to you and through you, to all the members of your party on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

As an important force in India’s political arena, the CPI(M) has been making unremitting efforts in exploring a development path that conforms to both the basic tenets of  Marxism and the realities of India, and has made dynamic contribution to India’s economic and social development and to the advancement of socialism in your country.

The political and economic architectures of today’s world are going through profound and complex changes. Against such a backdrop, China and India, as two large developing countries, enjoy unprecedented opportunities and face many challenges in promoting their economic and social development. To deepen the China-India relationship by enhancing friendship and cooperation serves the fundamental interests of both countries and peoples and will contribute to peace, stability and prosperity of Asia and the world at large.

The CPC and the CPI(M) enjoy long term comradely and fraternal solidarity, which is a good example of promoting state-to-state relations through party-to-party friendship. The CPC is willing to enhance its friendly exchanges with the CPI(M), strengthen cooperation and experience sharing in running Party and government affairs, to make greater contribution to the sound and steady development of our relations on both party and state levels.

We in the CPC have been following your efforts in exploring and developing Marxism in theory and practice and feel happy for your achievements. We are convinced that, under the guidance of the collective leadership of your party and with the joint efforts of all party members, this congress is bound to be a successful one, and will prove to be significant in building the strength of the CPI(M) and the solidarity among Left-wing forces in India under the new circumstances.
