CPI(M) General Secretary Meets Nepal PM

ON October 22, Prakash Karat, general secretary of the CPI(M), met the prime minister of Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai, in New Delhi Bhattarai was then on a four day visit to India.

The Nepalese prime minister informed Karat about the situation regarding the drafting of the constitution and the peace process in Nepal. He expressed the hope that this process would be completed with the cooperation of other political parties. Bhattarai wanted more interaction between the political forces in the two countries.

Karat informed him about the latest political developments in India and expressed the hope that the Bhattarai visit would strengthen the friendship and ties between the two countries.
