CPI(M) Expresses Solidarity with Japanese People
On March 13, Prakash Karat, general secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), sent the following message to Comrade Kazuo Shii, chairperson of the Executive Committee, Japanese Communist Party.
WE have been shocked by the havoc caused by the earthquake and tsunami that has hit Japan. We express our deep sorrow for the heavy loss of lives, damage to property and disruption of normal life.
On behalf of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), I convey our heartfelt sympathy to all those who have lost their family members. Through you, I wish to convey our solidarity with the people of Japan who are going through this difficult time.
