Probe Multi-Crore Railway Recruitment Scam: DYFI

The central executive committee of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has issued the following statement on June 21

THE multi-crore railway recruitment scam, which is the latest in a series of high level corruption cases reported in the first year of UPA-II government, is a clear indication that scams have become a rule rather than exception. With the involvement of high ranking officials of the railways, the tall claim of transparency and overhauling of notorious and corrupt practices made by the railway minister has fallen flat. This scam has exposed the mal practices in the examination and recruitment processes conducted by the railways. Railways is the largest employer in the country where around three lakh posts are lying vacant as there is a ban on recruitment. What is shocking is that when some posts are announced, even then in the name of recruitment, such posts are put on sale by the corrupt officials.

The DYFI CEC demands a thorough probe into the jobs for sale scam in the railways, and strict punishment for all those found responsible.
