Comrade Mansoor Saeed

The following is the condolence message sent by Sitaram Yechury, member of the Polit Bureau and head of the International Department of the Communist Party of India (Marxist),to the Communist Party of Pakistan on the sudden demise of Comrade Mansoor Saeed.

WE are deeply shocked to hear the news of the sudden demise of Comrade Mansoor Saeed who was a comrade-in-arms and one who espoused the cause of Indo-Pakistan friendship. Comrade Mansoor Saeed was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Pakistan and was looking after its international department for many years. Comrade Mansoor Saeed was not only a fine communist leader but also a great friend of the people of India and Pakistan. In his death we have lost a valuable friend and a committed fighter to the cause of a society free from exploitation.

I, personally and on behalf of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), pay my homage to the departed comrade and offer my condolences to the Communist Party of Pakistan and his family members.
