12 March Rally Camp and Parking Arrangements

PREPARATIONS are going on for hosting the 12 March Joint Rally of Left Parties: CPI(M), CPI, Forward Bloc and RSP in Delhi. A residential camp for about 50,000 rallyists coming from different states is being set up at Ramlila Maidan, adjacent to the old walled city. This camp comprising of tented accommodation will have basic amenities like water, toilets, first aid etc. besides that food will be available at reasonable prices at stalls set up within the camp perimeter.

Arrangements for parking of vehicles of participants have also been made. Such vehicles can be parked at Vishnu Digambar Marg (on which the CITU Central office is located), Comrade Indrajit Gupta Marg (formerly Kotla Road), Mata Sundari Road and Mir Dard Marg. Other landmarks of the area are Bal Bhawan and Ghalib Institute. This area is within walking distance of Ramlila Maidan.

The parking area can be reached from the Ring Road via Indraprastha Marg and the ITO crossing. After reaching the ITO crossing vehicles should take Deen Dayal Upadhayaya Marg and turn right on Vishnu Digambar Marg to access the parking area.
