The following is the text of the condolence message sent by Prakash Karat on November 9, 2009 to Dr Namitaji, wife of Dr K P Singh

I was grieved to hear the news of the passing away of Dr K P Singh.  Though  he was not keeping good health recently, his demise has come as a shock. 

We will always remember Comrade K P Singh for his long and distinguished contribution to Hindi literature and the cultural movement.  He was tireless in his crusade against the communal forces and all forms of obscurantism.  His contributions will always be remembered.

I convey my heartfelt condolences to you, your daughter, son and other family members.
