SFI CEC Greets HPU Students

THE Students Federation of India has registered a landslide victory in the Himachal Pradesh University SCA elections held on August 21, breaking all previous records of victory. Apart from winning all the four central posts, SFI candidates won a record 31 out of the 42 department representative posts. The ABVP won 9 seats, an independent won one and there was a tie in another.

On August 22, the SFI�s central executive committee (CEC) has congratulated the students of Himachal Pradesh University and state unit of the SFI for registering such an emphatic victory in face of all sorts of repression and conspiracy hatched by the university authorities, the police and state administration. It said this enormous victory would be a tremendous source of inspiration for the entire democratic student movement in the country. It added that the entire rank and file of the SFI is proud of this great victory.
