PB Condemns Attack On Buddhadeb
The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following statement on November 3, 2008
THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the attack on the convoy of chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee through a landmine blast in West Midnapur district. The union minister for steel and the minster of state were also traveling on the same route.
The Maoists have targeted the chief minister and have killed a number of CPI(M) cadres and activists in the recent period. The Maoists have opposed the setting up of a steel plant at Salboni. Firm action should be taken against these disruptive elements who are inimical to the interests of the people and the development of the state.
