Balwant Singh Suspended
CPI(M) issued the following press release October 16, 2008
THE central committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) at its meeting held from October 12 to 14, 2008 at Kolkata decided to suspend Balwant Singh, member of the central committee and secretary of the Punjab state committee of the Party from all responsible positions and the membership of the Party, pending an enquiry into charges of serious misconduct, under Article XIX Clause 10 of the Party Constitution.
