CPI(M) Stresses Airlifting Of Essential Commmodities

Jammu and Kashmir CPI(M) state secretary and MLA, M Y Tarigami on August 18 expressed serious concern at the total non-availability of essential commodities to far flung areas. He urged on the government to ensure immediate air lifting of essential items to the remote areas.

Speaking to INN, he said that not only are essentials not available but state administration despite assurances is not doing anything to change the situation. It is necessary, he said, that agitating groups exempt essential commodities from their action programme.

Tarigami called upon trade union leaders and others to ensure more responsibility towards the problems of the common people, in times of such grave crisis as the one being experienced in the state now and help ensure free flow of essential items.
