Earthquake In China
CPI(M) Condoles Loss Of Lives
Prakash Karat, general secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has sent the following condolence message to the general secretary of Communist Party of China on May 13, 2008
DEAR Comrade,
We have been shocked at the magnitude of the earthquake affecting the Sichuan province and surrounding areas. We are deeply grieved at the loss of thousands of lives, injuries to many and destruction of property.
On behalf of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), I convey our sincere condolences on this grievous loss of precious lives. We express our solidarity with the people and the government of the People�s Republic of China in their endeavours to provide relief and succour to all those who are affected by the earthquake.
