Greetings From The Communist Party Of Brazil (PCdoB)

DEAR Comrades, on behalf of the Communist Party of Brazil � PCdoB, we are sending our warmest and fraternal greetings to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and all its militants, on the occasion of the 19^th Congress of the CPI(M). We hope that the 19^th Congress will be successful and fulfill the main objectives aimed, resulting in strengthening of the CPI(M).

The 19th Congress of the CPI(M) is being held few days after the world remembers that five years ago it was the very beginning of the US imperialist war against Iraq, which has initiated a brutal offensive announcing the �reconfiguration of the Middle East�. After these five years, US imperialism has not only not reached its objectives, but also there are several signals of an increase of the resistance of peoples and nations around the world. In our region, the Latin America, we have registered important victories of people and a hard struggle to affirm the democratic and revolutionary trends. Nowadays in the most nations around the world, the peace flag gains relevance as one of the major aspirations of their people.

India and Brazil are two of the big nations in development, whose people have very near interests and expectations. Our people are struggling for the reconfiguration of the present international order and against the new conditions on the economic and social progress of our countries. Also the CPI(M) and the PCdoB are fraternal political parties that share the idea that the struggle for socialism is the biggest cause of our peoples.

On the occasion of 19th Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), we take this opportunity to reaffirm our best wishes for the political, organisational and ideological success to your Party to confront the challenges of the coming period.
