Comrade Omkar Nath Trisal Passes Away

THE J&K Party was shocked to learn about the sudden and sad demise of Comrade Omkar Nath Trisal, a veteran leader and member of the state secretariat of CPI(M).

He died on January 5, 2008 at the age of 72 years due to a massive heart attack while discharging assigned responsibility of the Party.

Born in a middle class family in Pulwama District of Kashmir, he made a mark in practicing a legal profession and gave up the profession, devoting himself completely to the cause of the Party. During the period of turmoil, facing difficulties, he stood up by his commitment and stayed back in Kashmir Valley to serve the people. By his self-less work and tremendous effort he emerged as an outstanding organiser during the period of turmoil which the state of Jammu & Kashmir has been facing for the last two decades.
In his death, the J&K CPI(M) has lost an exemplary communist. Contributions of Comrade Trisal will always remain a source of inspiration for all those committed to the cause of working people.

Jammu & Kashmir state committee of CPI(M) pledges to carry forward his unfinished task with determination. It conveys its heart felt condolence to his wife, son and daughter.
