CPI(M) Pays Homage To

Comrade George Habash

The following letter was sent to general secretary, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) by CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat.

WE were deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing away of Comrade George Habash. George Habash was an outstanding leader of the Palestinian liberation movement. As founder of the PFLP he played a key role in brining the Marxist perspective to the liberation struggle and rallying the Left forces around it. Habash’s lifelong commitment and contribution to the Palestinian cause will always inspire those fighting for the cause of liberation and social justice.

On behalf of the central committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) we convey our homage to the departed leader and our heartfelt sympathy to his family members and the PFLP.
