CPC Study Group Interacts

With CPI(M) Leaders

A nine member study group headed by Zhang Guolong, Director General of Organization Bureau, Organization Department, CPC Central Committee met with CPI(M) leadership at AKG Bhavan on December 17 and held lengthy discussions.

The CPI(M) side was represented in the discussions by Polit Bureau member S Ramachandran Pillai, central secretariat members Hari Singh Kang and V Srinivasa Rao.

The delegation sought to understand from the CPI(M) leadership the methods of party building; the relations between the party, the government and the parliament; building a strong party membership; building of grass-roots organizations, organizational system and leading mechanisms of the party; implementation of policies of the party and relevant ensuring methods from organizational perspective.

The delegation is scheduled to visit Hyderabad on December 20-21, 2007 and interact with local party leaders. It would visit rural areas around Hyderabad in order to see first hand grassroots organization activities.
