The committee noted that the struggles against the policies of UPA government in 24 states were a big success. Rallies and campaigns were carried out during the month long campaign.

The CEC also decided to hold anti-imperialist conventions in various parts of the country against the Indo-US nuclear deal. This campaign will begin from October 9, 2007 - the martyrdom day of Che Guevara and it will end on November 3, 2007, foundation day of DYFI. The programme will consist of remembrances of Che Guevara, solidarity with the five Cuban Heroes who are illegally held by the American regime and the exposure of imperialist agenda behind the nuclear deal.

The membership campaign of 2007 would be completed by October 15 and it was also decided to increase the membership to 1.75 crores so that DYFI would become the second largest youth movement in the world. The committee also chalked out plans to spread the activities of the movement to more parts of the country giving utmost importance to Hindi speaking states. As part of this, regional organisational camps will be held in December in different regions of the country. The camp for the activists of the North Indian states will be held in Maharashtra. The CEC also decided to send youth solidarity groups from 10 states to express solidarity to the ongoing land struggle (Bhooporattam) in Andhra Pradesh. These solidarity groups will stay with the villagers and will participate in the third stage of the land struggle and will gain useful experience from this struggle and will also contribute to the struggle.

A campaign will also be started against the Sangh Parivar’ agenda of creating communal tension in the name of Ram Sethu issue. As part of this campaign four youth marches will travel along Tamilnadu with slogans against communalisation of Sethu Samudram project and for the immediate development of ports and the completion of Sethu Samudram project.

Marches will start from four corners of the state namely Madurai, Virudunagar, Tuticorin and Sivaganga. These four marches will conclude with a mass youth rally in Rameswaram on October 10, 2007.
