CPI(M) Protests Blueline Murders

The CPI(M), Delhi state committee organised picketing of Blueline buses at five places in the capital on October 9. Hundreds of activists of the Party blocked Blueline buses at Dwarka Mor in South West Delhi, Mangolpuri in West Delhi, Nanaksar and Nathu Colony in North East Delhi and Filmistan in Central Delhi. Commuters and local residents joined the protesters to vent their anger against the dance of death unleashed by these buses in the capital.

Blueline bus owners and their employees have no concern for the safety and lives of the people. They are willfully wrecking havoc in their quest to maximise their profits. This is the disastrous end result of the privatisation of public transport. The state government has failed miserably to control these murderous leviathans and must bear responsibility for their murderous spree, asserted the CPI(M).

The CPI(M) demanded that the state government immediately take over all Blueline buses and run them as part of the DTC fleet. Nothing short of this would put an end to the daily murder of innocent citizens by the Bluelines, it stated.
