PB Expresses Shock
The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following statement on February 21, 2007
THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) expresses its deep shock at the tragic accident which took place in Ernakulam district of Kerala. Eighteen people, including 15 students and 3 teachers of St. Antony’s Upper Primary School, Elavanoor near Angamaly, died when a boat capsized in the Periyar river.
The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) hopes the enquiry will establish how such an accident took place.
The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) conveys its heartfelt condolences to the families of all those who have lost their family members and children. (INN)
