SPECIFIC DEMANDS

 

  1. Reduce petrol and diesel prices to pre-June 2006 levels as an immediate step 

  2. Implement the Standing Committee recommendation and end future trading in essential commodities 

  3. Ensure procurement of foodgrains sufficient to meet the needs of the PDS at prices fair to farmers 

  4. Universalize the PDS and strengthen FCI 

  5. Ensure price control of essential drugs 

  6. Ensure increased expenditure on health and education and other basic services.
