BSNL Employees Union Wins The Election
THE BSNL Employees Union won in the membership verification in BSNL held on December 19, 2006 with more than 57.6 per cent majority and has been recognised as the negotiating union for the 26,00,000 non-executive employees of BSNL for the next two years.
Even though there were eight unions in the field, the contest was mainly between two forums one led by BSNL Employees Union and the other led by NFTE. The forum led by BSNL Employees Union got 1,51,216 votes and NFTE forum got 87,189 votes. The difference is 64,087 votes.
BSNL Employees Union expressed its thanks to all the workers for the support extended to the union. (INN)
