CPI(M) On Petro Prices
The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following statement November 29, 2006.
THE Left Parties had in the last UPA-Left Coordination Committee meeting demanded a reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel considering the fall in international prices.
The UPA government’s decision to reduce petrol by Rs. 2 and diesel by Rs. 1 is a step forward in the right direction. The CPI(M) urges the government to fully remove the burden that it had imposed on consumers in June and to reduce it further to the extent of Rs. 4 on petrol and Rs. 2 on diesel. (INN)
