Protest Against Rajasthan Govt In Delhi

THE ongoing brave struggle of farmers of Rajasthan found an echo in New Delhi on October 31 with major mass organisations staging a demonstration in front of Bikaner House, New Delhi housing the Resident Commissioner of Rajasthan government.

The All India Kisan Sabha, All India Agricultural Workers Union, CITU, DYFI and AIDWA lodged their protest against the BJP state government which has unleashed brutal repression on the agitating farmers of Sriganganagar, Bikaner and Hanumangarh districts who are fighting for their legitimate share of water from Indira Gandhi Canal.

CPI(M) central secretariat member and incharge of Rajasthan unit, Hannan Mollah and AIKS joint secretary N K Shukla addressed the protestors. A memorandum was also submitted to the Resident Commissioner.
