CPI(M) Condemns Doda Massacre
The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following statement on May 1, 2006.
THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) condemns the massacre of 22 people in Doda in a terrorist attack. This attack was preceeded by an attack earlier in Udhampur.
The stepping up of attacks in Jammu & Kashmir on innocent people is part of a premeditated and heinous attempt to create communal tension and disrupt any prospect of return to peace and normalcy in the state. The security forces must track down the culprits responsible for these attacks. The state administration must draw up a plan for providing security to the scattered communities in the region.
The Polit Bureau conveys its heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed in these two attacks.
