Blasts In The Premises of the Jama Masjid

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following statements on April 15, 2006.

THE two blasts in the premises of the Jama Masjid in Delhi are an obvious provocation to outrage religious sentiments and create communal disharmony. While these explosions, fortunately, have not caused any loss of lives, they must be viewed seriously given the malicious motive behind them.  The authorities have to track down the culprits to uncover the conspiracy to target places of worship.

The Polit Bureau appeals to the people to unitedly rebuff such acts of violence.

Srinagar Attacks

The Polit Bureau strongly condemns the seven grenade attacks in Srinagar which have resulted in the death of five persons and injured many others. These terrorist attacks indicate that the extremist groups will continue to strive to disrupt the movement towards peace and normalcy. While all steps should be taken to curb such activities, the Central Government should step up efforts for a political dialogue with all the concerned parties within Jammu & Kashmir.
