Anti-Bush Rallyist Killed
COMRADE Rajeev Kumar, DYFI activist from Ropar, Punjab who was travelling in a train to Delhi to lend his voice to the "Bush Go Back" rally was murdered by anti-social elements in the running train on the night of March 1.
The rowdy elements in the compartment were taking drugs and creating nuisance to which Comrade Rajeev objected. they pounced on him and threw him out of the running train near Karnal in Haryana. The co-passengers immediately complained to Railway police about what happened. Three of the accused were nabbed by the police.
The DYFI central executive committee has strongly condemned the murder of its activist and demanded stringent punishment to the accused. A condolence meeting was held at the DYFI CEC office in Delhi on the evening of March 2 to mourn the death of Comrade Rajeev. The Bush Go Back rally also condemned the murder and paid homage to Comrade Rajeev.
