Spate Of Attacks In J&K
The
Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following
statement on November 17.
THE
extremist groups have stepped up their attacks in Jammu & Kashmir. There
have been a series of incidents since the earthquake hit the valley. The recent
incidents have been the attack in Lal Chowk, the car bomb blast outside a bank
in Srinagar and the bomb blast at a political rally in Tangdhar, which have led
to deaths and injuries to a number of civilians and security personnel.
The
Polit Bureau expresses its concern at these extremist attacks. The central and
state governments should step up security arrangements. The intelligence network
should be able to identify and provide advance information on the activities of
these elements. All this must be done even while the central government pursues
the political dialogue with all the forces in the state. (INN)
