  Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegation Visits CPI(M) Central Office

COMRADE Pham The Duyet, president of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front visited the CPI(M) central ofice, A K Gopalan Bhavan in New Delhi on October 12 and met Prakash Karat, general secretary of the CPI(M).

 

Comrade Pham The Duyet who is also a member of the Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam is heading a delegation of the Fatherland Front to India.

 

In the talks held, Comrade Pham The Duyet and Prakash Karat spoke of the close relations between the two countries and the two parties. They exchanged views on the developments in Vietnam and India. The Vietnamese leader reported on the preparations being made for the forthcoming National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Prakash Karat explained the role being played the CPI(M) in the national situation and the activities of the Party. Both sides expressed happiness at the expanding relations between the two countries.

 

The Vietnamese ambassador to India and CPI(M) secretariat member Hari Singh Kang were also present during the talks.
