The
Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following
statement on July 05, 2005.
THE Polit
Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the highly provocative attempted
terrorist attack within the precincts of the protected site in Ayodhya.
The action of the security forces thwarted the attempt and prevented any damage
in the area. The attack was clearly designed to inflame communal passions. The
CPI(M) appeals to the people not to fall prey to any rumour mongering and to
maintain peace and communal harmony. It urges the Central Government to order
a thorough and transparent inquiry into the attack, to identify and bring to
book those behind the attack, to pinpoint any lapses and to take necessary
measures.
