Dear comrades, Receive, please, the most sincere greetings of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia, wishing you a full success of the 18th Congress and implementing its deliberations.

The Czech communists are highly appreciating that CPI/M/ succeeded, jointly with other communist and leftwing forces of India, to achieve such a result of the May 2004 general elections, which halted the reactionary and dangerous course of the pro-imperialist and anti-people bloc lead by BSS-BJP, returning your country even to dark ages of a medial communalism. The present position and influence of your party and other Indian communist and leftwing forces have become a key factor of a pressure, aiming at recovering a traditional prominent position of India within the non-aligned countries withstanding all the aggressive policies and imperial ambitions, and at promoting a sustainable development of the country in the vital interests of all your people. The new position of the Indian left has been, moreover, enabling to raise its patriotic, democratic, progressive agenda in front of the entire society to an unprecedented extent, and even to strive for a totally new alternative, where a wide block of leftist and other patriotic, democratic forces would promote developments independent from the ambitions of the Indian big capital and landlords.

The more carefully we follow these efforts, the closer also the situation in our own country has been reaching a new promising stage. Just these days, a long-term crisis of the policies in the Czech Republic, subordinated to the interests of the foreign capital and its power structures alongside with those of the domestic nouveau riches, came to a point where a viable way out clearly depends on considering the interests and demands of the unprivileged and other democratic strata, as voiced by our Communist Party. As the most numerous political subject of the country, repeatedly proving its persuading second position among our voters, we are further intensifying the efforts towards a genuinely sustainable, democratic and progressive future of the Czech Republic.

None of the urgent tasks of the movement, two our parties belong to, can be successfully reached unless a fraternal solidarity and cooperation among the communist and other revolutionary and democratic forces is further upgraded and focused on its key priorities based on a true, creative Marxist analysis of our era. The Czech communists, following their long-standing internationalist traditions, will exert all their efforts needed to further strengthening the intentional barrier against imperialist wars, atrocities and domination.

From a small country in the heart of Europe, a hundred of thousands of the Czech communists are sending fraternal greetings to almost a million members of CPI/M/.

Long live international solidarity of all the communists worldwide ! Let it soon achieve new horizons in halting the aggressive expansion of the global capital, and paving a path to a brighter future of peace, friendship among nations and addressing all the acute challenges in front of the humankind !
