Homage To Martyrs

 

The 18th Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) salutes the memory of the martyrs who laid down their lives fighting for the cause of the working class and the democratic movement during the past three years since the 17th Congress.

 

The 18th Congress pays glorious tributes to the 202 Party members, its supporters and their family members (including small children) who were martyred defending tribal-non tribal unity and championing the cause of the Party. They were killed by extremist gangs of the NLFT, ATTF and class enemies.

 

The 18th Congress pays respectful homage to the 171 martyrs belonging to the Party and mass organisations in West Bengal who sacrificed their lives upholding the flag of the party and the democratic movement. They became victims of the armed goons of the Trinamul-BJP, landlord gangs and extremist groups like the KLO, PWG and MCC.

 

The 18th Congress salutes the memory of the 26 Party members of Kerala who were martyred at the hands of the Congress and BJP gangs.

 

The 18th Congress pays respectful homage to the memory of nine Party members and supporters who laid down their lives fighting extremism and separatism and another comrade who was killed in police firing in Jammu & Kashmir.

 

The 18th Congress salutes the memory of six comrades in Bihar who were killed by hired goondas of the landlords in Bihar.

 

The 18th Congress pays respectful tribute to the memory of the three comrades who were killed by anti-social elements in Tamilnadu for serving the cause of the poor and the downtrodden.

 

The 18th Congress pays homage to the memory of two comrades who were killed by anti-social elements in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The Congress pays tributes to the memory of one comrade who died fighting against landlord goondas in Madhya Pradesh.

 

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) will always cherish the memory of these martyrs. It pledges to continue the fight to fulfill their unfinished tasks.
