Banerjee Report Nails RSS-BJP Lies

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following statement on January 17, 2005.

THE interim report of the Justice U C Banerjee committee probing the fire in the Sabarmati Express at Godhra in Gujarat on February 27, 2002 has nailed the lie of the Narendra Modi administration and the RSS/BJP outfits.

The interim report concludes that the Godhra incident was an “accident, not a deliberate attempt.” If further ruled out the possibility of an “inflammable liquid” as the cause of the fire. The report also concludes that the fire was not caused by an inflammable liquid or object thrown from outside the coach.

The report, thus, negates the “inflammable liquid theory” propagated by the Narendra Modi administration and the BJP/RSS. This was used to unleash the most barbaric state sponsored communal genocide in Gujarat with the express purpose of sharpening communal polarisation and, thus, gaining electorally. Such sinister cynical recourse to vitiate communal harmony for political/electoral benefits by the RSS/BJP is further exposed.
