French CP Expresses Solidarity

THE French Communist Party has expressed its solidarity with the Indian people in meeting the tsunami devastation.

In a message sent to the Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary Harkishen Singh Surjeet, the French CP International Department head Damiel Cirera has promised to do everything possible to put pressure on the French and European Union authorities to see that they “respond to the calls for solidarity to ease the sufferings of the populations.”

Cirera said the extent of the catastrophe caused by the disaster and the tens of thousands of victims are arousing immense feelings. “We know the Indian people’s capacity for mobillising itself to face up to this tragedy”, stated Cirera. (INN)
