Karat Meets With Chavez
A
“World Meeting of Intellectuals and Artists
in Defence of Humanity” was held in Caracas, Venezuela from December 1
to 5, 2004. The meeting was
attended by prominent intellectuals and cultural personalities from 52
countries.
Prakash
Karat, member of the Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) attended
the international meeting. He also had a meeting with Hugo Chavez,
President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Under President Chavez’s leadership, a radical transformation is taking
place in Venezuela. An account of
Prakash Karat’s visit to Venezuela will be published in the next issue of People’s
Democracy.
