Welcomes Indo-Pak Dialogue
The
Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following
statement on September 26, 2004
THE
Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) welcomes the continuation
of the Indo-Pak dialogue initiated by Dr Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the
United Nations General Assembly meeting.
The
joint statement issued after the hour long one-to-one meeting between Dr
Manmohan Singh and President Musharaff, while endorsing the January 6, 2004
joint statement, carries forward the dialogue on various aspects of bilateral
relations.
The
Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) wishes that the UPA government continues this process
of dialogue and work towards a settlement of all issues with Pakistan through
dialogue and negotiations. (INN)
