THE
CPI(M) general secretary, Harkishan Singh Surjeet, has requested the prime
minister Manmohan Singh to expedite certain pending projects in Kerala.
In
a letter written on July 29, Surjeet reminded the prime minister that several
MPs from Kerala had met him and represented regarding the execution of the
projects.
One
project pertains to the expansion of the Kayamkulam Thermal Project of the NTPC
in Kerala and related LNG terminal project. The second is the Vellarpadam
Container Terminal Project in Kochi. A budgetary allocation has already been
made for the Vellarpadam Container Terminal Project.
