CPI(M) :  On Guard Against Troublemakers

THE Haryana state committee of the CPI(M) has appealed to all sections of the society to keep their patience and desist from any act of violence or provocation in reaction to the passing the bill by Punjab assembly with regards to the termination of distribution of river waters accord.

In a press release issued here today the CPI(M) has cautioned the public to understand the petty politics being practiced for the last 30 years on issues relating to river waters.

According to the CPI(M) whosoever is trying to create enmity and rift among the citizens and farmers of Punjab and Haryana by giving provocative demands are indulging an act of sabotage is indirectly fulfilling the evil designs of Amrinder Singh, Akali Dal and BJP  who are trying to achieve their petty political interests by creating confusions on the name of SYL and water. The party has reminded all that the consequences of such politics have earlier been faced by not only Punjab but the country as whole.

The secretariat has termed the chief minister Chautala’s statement as unfortunate in which he has, in the name of public, instigated to block the waters roads passing through the state. The party has condemned the burning of Punjab roadways buses at several places in Haryana by the BJP. The CPI(M) feels that those very political parties which has been defeated by the people in recent Lok Sabha elections are trying on desperation to regain some support by complicating the river water distribution issue.

The secretariat has noted that both the state committees of Punjab and Haryana of the CPI(M) have criticized the passing of irresponsible bill by the Punjab assembly and have appealed to the central government to take steps at the earliest for finding a mutually acceptable solution by involving all the concerned sides.
