Victory In Andhra Pradesh
The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following statement on May 11, 2004.
THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) congratulates the people of Andhra Pradesh for decisively rejecting the TDP-BJP alliance in the assembly elections. The big victory registered by the opposition is a decisive rejection of the TDP government’s policies, which were shaped by the World Bank.
This victory of the secular and Left opposition will be a precursor to the defeat of the BJP and its allies in the Lok Sabha elections.
