Hema Malini Must Resign

The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) has demanded the resignation of Hema Malini from the Rajya Sabha in view of her joining a political party on February 19. “She is a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha  under a specific category which doest not permit affiliation to any political party. It is an indication of its contempt for constitutional propriety that the BJP has admitted her into its fold even while she remains a nominated member of the Upper House of Parliament”, stated AIDWA in a statement
