Comrade Bhan Singh Bhaura

THE All India Agricultural Workers Union (AIAWU) and the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) have conveyed their deep condolences to the Bharatiya Khet Mazdoor Union on the demise of its president, Comrade Bhan Singh Bhaura, MP, a determined fighter for the cause of the poorest and most downtrodden section of rural workers --- agricultural labour.

In a statement issued on January 3, the two organisations said Comrade Bhaura’s demise has come at a time when his qualities as a fighter and representatives of these sections in parliament were most needed. Conveying their heartfelt condolences to Comrade Bhaura’s bereaved family, the AIKS and AIAWU said in their statement that the best tribute to the departed comrade would be to carry forward to victory his struggle against the landlords, globalisers and imperialism.
